Hello again fellow brides-to-be! Long time, no talk. Now that giveaways are over (by the way, weren’t those so much fun?!) you’ll be hearing from me every Wednesday, just like before! I can’t wait to catch you up on all that’s been happening in my world of wedding planning...it’s been very busy lately!

On Saturday January 7th, I opened my sleepy eyes to my sunlit room and reached for my cellphone on my bedside table to check the time. After I checked my texts, notifications, and caught up with all of the pretty pictures on Instagram, I opened up my calendar and realized the date...January 7th...in six months, it would be my wedding day! My heart beat a little faster as I imagine myself walking down the aisle to my (hopefully teary) almost-husband. I could hardly believe that the six month mark had finally come! Which meant that the time to wedding plan had finally come! I was finally out of the lull period where there was nothing to do. I felt like a kid on Christmas morning as I leapt out of bed, opened up my computer, and started to look through wedding websites and create a to do list for myself.

That day marked the beginning of the whirlwind of wedding planning that I have been spinning in ever since. With the five month mark coming up next week, I'm realizing that the second half of our engagement is going to go by so much faster than the first half. The first half seemed to be an uphill climb, it moved pretty slowly with no sign of a wedding in the near future. The second half feels like we're running hand in hand downhill, with nothing but marriage and our wedding on our minds as time seemingly picks up speed around us. It's both thrilling and overwhelming.

As much as I love that wedding planning is finally here, I'm so nervous that I'm not staying on top of things like I should be, or that I'm going to miss something along the way. I'm extremely thankful that I stumbled across the Kailey Michelle Events Planning Guide! It's a downloadable printout with a detailed list of what you need to do and when. Follow this link to download it for yourself, it will save you so much stress! It makes me wish that I lived in BC so that I could hire Kailey as my planner!

Anyway, I have checked off some major things over the last few weeks and I'm eager to share them with you! Here's what's currently on my planning plate; bridesmaid dress shopping, registering, booking a hair and makeup artist, booking a florist, planning our honeymoon, and deciding on decorations. A really fun list of things to work on!
Tell me, what do you want to hear about? What wedding planning questions do you need answered? Share it with me on our Facebook wall and I'll be sure to cover it in the column!
Chat soon and happy planning!
